Well as long as your a David Lee Roth fan and not Sammy Haggar then that's cool, yea I like VH too, but they don't touch Iron Maiden or AC/DC

Hey, let me tell you something,

If you really want to test your system, make sure to throw in the latest Ja Rule disk. His voice test the speakers one by one as he talks/sings/grunts into the microphone is his studio. His grunting noises will definitely test out your sub bass, while the imitation drums and symbols will really show you if your mid-bass and tweeters are up to the challenge. if your vehicle can handle the noises he makes, your stereo must have purchased from your local zellers car audio specialist.

Although I don't go for imaging or sq,I hope you guys don't mind me throwing my 2 cents in here...

My fav disc right now is "Andrew W.K.-I Get Wet".Not alot in the way of high end,but a lot of bass and mid-bass...also some excellent lyrics.
I also too love "Dire Straits-Brothers in Arms"
I've also found "Dr.Dre ft. Snoop Dogg-Still the D-R-E"to have some really good high end as well as the real low bottom end.

And yeah...I know....this is coming from a guy with an 8 track in his car....

Soooo....let me fill you in on some of my fav tapes now....(over and above my own custom recordings)....

Kenny Rogers-The Gambler
Led Zepplin-In through The Out Door(major bass on a couple tracks there)
Boston-Boston(some really good high end on this one)

Still looking for old Sabbath,Zepplin,KISS,etc...

Anyone know where I can get my hands on "Iron Butterfly-Inagadadivida"??(seriously)

Yeah, Boston's debut(hell, Don't Look Back and 3rd stage too) all sound good. Their debut is one of the best "old recordings" I have heard. There is alot of stuff recorded since that album that sounds like crap in comparison. It is a classic album, songwise, as well.

Some beautifully recorded classical cd's:

James Ehnes(violinist) with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra does the concertos of Max Bruch,

James Ehnes with the Quebec Symphony Orchestra does the concertos of various French composers,

The Montreal Symphony Orchestra does the symphonies of Camille Saint-Saens,

Janina Fialkowska (pianist) with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra does the piano concertos of Franz Liszt,

Edgar Meyer (double bass) with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra does the concertos of Giovanni Bottesini,

The St. Lawrence String Quartet,

The Gryphon Trio (violin, cello, piano) does the Beethoven symphonies.

Hey,Team8Tack, I have some old record albums at home which I had purchased waaaaaay back in the 1960's and '70's. Black Sabbath (Master of Reality), Iron Butterfly (In A Gada Da Vida), The Stampeders (Sweet City Woman), Boston (their first release). I have a whole bunch of others also.

Jazz at the Pawnshop 1 and 2 - awesome live recording in a small venue environment. IT's amazing to close your eyes and listen closely to all the background environment on this disc as well.

Tribal Tech. Cool disc that has very dynamic content.

Bachbusters - Don Dorsey

Pat Coil - anything the guy has done

Tuck and Patty - impressive vocal CD
