How would you cover the openings properly? Providing it wouldn't interfere with anything. How would a pro go about it?

I dont know about a pro but myself on my 03 impala cut some thin plexiglass up into the shapes needed to cover the openings and made notches and in some of the pieces for stuff like the door latch rods, i then used damp pro on both sides of said plexi glass then drilled some pilot holes in the plexi and attached them to my door skin with metal self tapin screws.... my doors are pretty good but im getting a brutal vibration(at loud volumes) in my rear view mirror housing... not sure what im going to do there.

Oh and around my door latch rods i actually had to do 2 pieces of plexi overlapping to get anything remotly close to sealed

That's interesting I have an 01 impala myself and am getting ready to do deaden my doors. My rear view is also bad for vibration. So ridiculous.

I had a feeling I'd get called on those.

Though the door panels have a tight fit and have some insulation to them to cover the holes, it's not proper, or at least it could be improved with some clever covers. I'm working around the weather unfortunately, I hope to get them done this weekend.

It's fairly easy actually. All you need is some two inch masking tape and fiberglass. You'll get PERFECTLY covered holes that work around any obsticles, lumps, etc.

Keep your eye on this thread. I'll take some step-by-step pics.

It was a little too cold to work on the doors yesterday, so I decided to work on the tweeters in the lower A-pillar.

Drilled and touched up with the Dremel.

Tweeter in place. Only thing I did after this was add a couple spots of hot-glue to keep the tweeters in place, though they were already tight fitting.

The finished product.

Nice, looking good man. Where abouts in the GTA are you? I would like to see this in person if you ever need a hand let me know. I'm going to be doing a SQ install in my 99 LHS soon.

Some people might say to put the tweeter as close the mid as possible, But it depends I think on many things.

I have my Morel tweeter in the 'A' pillar and I find it blends with the mid just fine.
