^ Yowza this horse is dead but I am going to beat him anyway!
My point, for tight connections, for large electrical surface area (better current flow), and better electrical and physical contact that wont degrade over time use spade or ring terminals. Not necessarily the fancy dancy gold ones the cheep ones ($2 for 12) this will for pennies be better than any other connection. My bananas plugs had over time and with heavy use compressed and were degrading the signal (complacency on my part) spades can not degrade over time. In a car bare wire is pretty normal at the amp and speaker terminals and the connection quality can degrade over time.
BTW this is one of my public service posts that won’t cost big bucks (I am required to do 2 per year).

put them in and out once or twice a week for a year or so and the mechanism inside doesn’t work so well, they were Monster cable, real pretty but PP reliability. I have another set from a band called Odyssey that have lasted 20 yrs and are still incredible. Non compression bananas... months to years depending on use.

A lot back then, I did a lot with audio (worked with a local dealer so he would loan me equipment to demo) and electrical design/troubleshooting. I dont do too much now. Bananas are an industry standard in more than a few areas, you should know this. That is the only reason to use bananas, convienience.
slow/n\low you know a lot, but you will learn more and you opinions will change with time, whatever your age.
