Try your RF amp and see how it does. It's a good amp. If you feel they still need more power go out and get a bigger amp.

The k2p is finally installed today. I've spent about 1 hour with it so far and I can say that I am very impressed. Every single part of the sound is better than the CDT EF and I hear things I did not hear before. The high is smoother yet more detailed, the mid-range and mid-bass "blossoms", especially the mid-range. However I still wish there's more mid-bass to it. I need to turn the volume up a bit to hear the mid-bass. Overall I am very happy with the purchase and think the RF 451S amp actually sound great with this speaker. I know the k2p can do more with a higher amp, but now I can live with the RF amp and maybe one day I will want a better amp, will see.

The install was done by Audiolines and they spent 5 hours installing it(what I'm told). That's longer than what I've epected but it's ok the install was pretty good.

Since the speakers are hidden under stock grills there's no point to take pics anyway. Sound clips...how do I do that?

Just did another listening and found out the mid-bass still not strong enough. I think it's the setup rather than equipment now. Maybe a sealed box in the door is needed but I don't know if it will fit.

Have the speakers had a chance to break-in? I bet you'll get more midbass once they do.

No, it's new and just got installed today ^^

I can actually feel the mid driver excursion pretty well in the doors but there's just not much mid-bass.

just switch the camera to movie mode then record.. then upload the file to a video hosting website like You Tube or Photobuckets etc. there will be some degradation after the upload unfortunately. but it still give you a glimps of what it sounds like.

Here's an example:

JBL pro 12" midbass/custom enclosure..... Clicky

Alright here's the clip. You might want to download it first.

Size: 27MB
http://www.minghost.com/caraudio/DSCF9254.AVI

Midbass sounds ok(quite good actually) by playing it on my computer speaker but it actually sounds weak in the car.

Settings:

Deck EQ: Flat
High pass @ ~60Hz to front by deck's built in xover
Sub was turned off in this clip
The k2p passive xover was set to -3db on the tweeter, and "Mid high" on both channels
