Kickpanel angles and placement

pxah900 talk can get very interesting, perhaps for another day. the problem that i have always found with kick panels is when you get strong left or right midbass information in the materrial you are listening to it can really draw the sound to the floor and affect the stage. as well unless alot of resonance control is taken, the floor virbates your feet and again draws the stage and everything down

this could get bad^^^^lol. but hay i must say that it is true. kicks can sound great but it definatly makes more sense to put the sound were u want it to come from than try to make the image appear hi. pods can deafanatly rattle the floor but not enough for me to discourage someone from doing them who is just doing them to have a nice sounding daily driver.

I don't see one as better than the other (dash vs. kick) but rather each has its challenges in getting good sound.
IMO, without TA or in a 2seat judging format, KPs are still the best spot for a midrange.

Without TA or for 2seat judging I believe imaging is better with KPs. I haven't heard a car with good staging that had lousy imaging so I guess I feel KPs are better for that too.
Not that I build a lot of comp cars or anything - just my opinion.
