I've never used an RTA to tune my toy. But at the same time it would be nice to see how it ends up on paper so to speak. Now that I have an EQ I will agree with^^ defro ^^ and that final tuning is up to your ear or 1 of the tuners that DWVW has refered to. On an side note if I ever get the chance like I had at Memphis the Mini will be tuned by an pro! Any way befor I plug in the EQ the system is going to be RTA'd. So after the EQ is in and running I get my base line to start from. Your ears do get tired and don't allways tell you what you need to know.

The RTA is difficult to use, and it's very inconsistent (because of the nature of the acoustic field) but it can still be useful in a lot of cases, as PEI330Ci showed. And as DWVW mentioned, this only takes care of the frequency response - it doesn't take into account the phase response of the system..... but how would we do that?

I'm sure if you drive up to Toronto, we could schedule something with Jamie E to tune your ride. See, another benefit of living in Toronto that you should mention to the wife !!!
