That alpine sounds just like the Eclipse 55090 with 39011 processor, does any one know if this combo will cross over and have the eq built in also?

most of the dvd media control decks, and the dva-9965, 9861, and 9860 i think, as well as the separate controller ruxc-701.

I will repeat myself look at the Zapco DC reference amplifier it should do everything you need DSP, EQ, crossovers and up to 6 channels

Totally agree with that and the H700/H701... you won't regret using either. With the opportunity to run optical or analog into the Alpine unit, your possibilities are endless and the control is very user centric. There's currently one for sale right now and if you can find a used Alpine head unit with an optical output, you'd be golden. Otherwise, pair it up with another unit and grab the RUX controller. I remember using that with my Denonford and loved it.

I would avoid trying to find a deck with that crossover ability, but if you must, I would suggest the Clarion DRZ9255 - They've been sold in the $600 range used which is a very good deal for that level of performance.

This is true if you're in 2-way mode, when in 3-way mode the sky is the limit. All other options people have mentioned will work well also, but not at the price the awsome decks can be had for. Gl.

Well for now i have made my decision. I don't have a zapco dealer around me local and they don't recomend buying there products offline. So i called Arc Audio and Zed Audio. Both said there amps high pass goes up to only 5k(zed) and 5.5K(arc) and told them what i was trying to do. They were like oh thats easy we can build you a amp with different size cap in the crossover. I really wanted to try out the ARC Audio 4200 SE but it was almost 1300. So i went with the Zed Audio Leviathan. 150 x 6 for $599. If it's anything like the Zed products i have used before i'll be VERY happy. I can still use my Eclipse 55090 and have my 3 way active Hybrid Audio 831.
