noob looking for help

you can mix and match equipment all day long,
but in my opinion when doing sq I dont like to mix and match, most companies design their speakers to run with their amps.
head units are a matter of choice, i prefer pioneer and jvc myself.
sq is a matter of you mostly.
lots of diffrant things to look at
1. frequency response(how high a note a speaker or low a speaker can play)
2. how loud to you want it to play
3. how much money are you willing to spend
the choices of brands is staggering
but memphis in my opion has done exceedingly well in sq competition very good product and they back up thier stuff pretty heavily, and reasonably priced in MY OPINION.
