Here is a shot of the spray foam. Not much to look at, but it does what I need it to. The foam is great, because its applied to the wall and Roxul can be applied on top of it. This will help a great deal in the future. I sprayed an inch and a half of the Tiger Foam and will apply R14 batt on top of that. This will yeild about R24.5. Enough for me to get full credit on the energy audit Im having done on my home. The rear wall (with the window) will be R69.5. This is the main bass trap wall. The ceiling was also spray foamed with a thin lay to help seal the room.

Anyone who has finished a basement has probably used Drycor. The 2ft x 2ft toung and groove panels that are very easy to install. It a great system, but also an expensive one. I'm cheap, so if I can do the same job for less money, I'm all for it. In the case, I buy a roll of plastic sub floor materil and cover it with plywood. It does the same job, has few joints, that get tuctaped togther (where Drycor can be) is ultra fast to install and about half the price of the little squares most people will use.
The system works great. Here a photo of the plastic underlay. I cant think of the brand name right now, sorry.

I just did the same in my basement and the floor is so warm.

Correct. It's low profile, so I don't lose much ceiling height. The plywood is secured to the floor with tap cons and construction adhesive. All the joints were sealed and the perimeter is being calked with acoustic sealant. Not for acoustics, just to add an air seal.

Simply amazing... I learned something awesome today (thanks guys )... wait till the wifee wakes up and sees this idea. I have an older home and the basement is finished but with just carpet on the cement floor.

HAHA - the best part about the flooring its a DIY install. 365sq.ft took me about 13 hours. If you don't own a hammer drill - rent a bosch STS hammer drill from HDepot. the bits are $8 each and I went 7 of them rocks under the pad. - It could plow thru 18 holes in 2 minutes without breaking my back.
