SQ biased sub with SPL potential?

i agree with sassmaster..for the power you have an IDMax or maybe a RE XXX might be a bit underpowered for the xxx though
maybe you just need a cleaner amp to power the sub you have... I wouldnt consider the brutus an SQ amp...also a proper box will help make a $100 sub sound like a $1000 sub...just my 2c worth

I'd agree with the ID if you want low...the ID Max has the lowest bass I've heard to date, but the midbass is a bit weak....you need a good strong mid to keep up.. Just don't expect it to be bullet proof....always a trade off between SQ and durability. The lighter and tighter the tolerences, the more delicate the driver....TANSTAAFL
