sub box for SQ
i have two focal 27h in a ported box but the subs are looking into a 1/4 firewall in my bmw 735i if i do a SINGLE-VENTED BAND-PASS/"4th Order Band-Pass" i can port it out of the skiboot where my ports are now
I use a 12" sealed Aliante in the rear <60 Hz
and 2 8"dynaudios in my floor >120 Hz small vent
As a wise man one said blow your box and vent your mind

Ive got my subs IB.. its the best possible setup IMO... (if you do it right).. the only downside is a really low Q in most cases.. (loud and boomy)...
If I was interested in SQ Id simply choose a sub that would work well in the first place, or short one coil on each sub to give QES a kick in tha ****...
Other then that... Id go sealed or ported low with a QTS around 7 for a good mix of SPL and accuracy....
Porting low can keep group delay down where you wont notice it as much... but at the expense of overall output...
