Yes my friend, it sounds good but lacks output on the low end.

The reason why I suggested lower is because the idmax is capible to play the freq above and below the suggested tuning frequency with good output, as compared to many other subs.

I gave you my insight out of personal experience let your ears be the judge and jury. Take a listen to some vented enclosures and see what works for you.

ok I'll find my self a 130amp alt. until then anything I can do? Would keeping my stock alt plus the big 3 and a battery work ? Or would that battery draw alot of power aswell?

Use your current alt, do the big three and keep your volume moderate for now.
