sell the singel coil sub, as it will only be getting like 250ish rms at 4 ohm's and keep the dvc as it will see like 360ish total rms wired at 2 ohm's.

What he said ^^^^^

Don't worry about your system "not being the best"...

Not many guys around here are runing $2500 Audison monster amps LOL

As long as you're happy that's all the counts!!! I started in car audio using 4 Alpine 3522 amps a JVC tape deck and an Alpine 3321 eq/x-over. One amp bridged to the left front, one to the right and one each bridged to a 8" bazzoka tube!!!!

By may points, it was a horrible system but MAN it was probably still the system I enjoyed the most to this day.

That amp is a perfect match for the DVC. While the sub brags 1000W and the amp brags 800w those ratings mean nothing because they are Max ratings. RMS are the number that you're really interested in.

The speaker handles 400WRMs and the Amp produces 360 WRMS to a 2 ohm load. When the coils are wired in parallel, they will create a 2 ohm mono load maximizing the potential of the amp.

Sell off the single voice coil. It simply doesn't fit with the system. They are mis-matched subs from the beginning (even though they look they same, they motors are quite different)

As for wiring, connect 2 wires to the amp + and connect the wires to the 2 + of the sub. Then connect 2 more wires to the amp - and connect those wires to the 2 - of the sub. This will give you the 2 ohm load for the most power from the amp.
