91 caravan infinity wiring digram
91 caravan infinity wiring digram
got a 91 caravan with the infinity system and the radio was stole and they cut the wires and took everything leaving me with one hell of a mess....
i have everything hooked up exept for 3 wires 1) black/yellow 2) green/black 3) green red ..... all works just no sound is my problem
now black/yellow is just illumination i think so that eliminates that wire
the green/red i think may be the amp trigger wire, would the green/black be a amp ground wire?
how can test this before hooking it up?
thanks
o p.s where would the amp be located?

i had that van before lol ( blew the tranny hahahah ) use a multimeter to find your 12v and your acc when key is on. then ( i also had the same prob as you ) there should be 4 sets of different color. dont remember the exact color but for ex. orange with brown line goes with the orange with blue line.
anyway when you have all the power hooked up power the deck and put fader to only 1 speaker than hook up the matches and try them on all 4 sets of speakers
eventually you will get it ( took me 2hours lmao) ill check if i can find a diagram online for ya

i think you misunderstood me... ive got all that figured out what im needing is this part of that wiring diagram
ive got the deck on and with power, just no sound.....the speaker covers all say "Infinity" so i figure that there is a trigger wire for a factory amp.... but some of the wires in that wiring diagram you posted dont match up with the wiring diagram i got off the internet... so maybe ill try messing around with the speaker wires some more
but the thing that gets me is i pulled the door speakers out and there are 3 thicker wires going to the speaker.... black, red, and white or gray i think it was.

Green/Red is the amp relay feed wire. Should have been connected to the power antenna position on the stock deck. I can't find the green/black wire on my diagrams... there's a black/green wire though. You might have the amp relay ground wire there, which you would ground out somewhere so the relay turns on.
The system amps are bolted to the backs of each door and rear speaker. They can be bypassed if nothing else works for you.
