Ok so im building a box for 2 10" mtx mzs 1004 subs and im using mtx's design for the box. Only problem is that one box is 22" wide which means two subs will be 44.75" wide because im just putting the two together. My trunk is only 39" wide which mean im going to have tp make some adjustments on the box to fit. My question is how do i make the box deeper without changing the tuning frequency of the Vent. The vent is the type that goes in than bends on an angle so if i make the box deeper and the back than wont that part of the port change its volume?

ya i wasnt asking how to build the box, i just wanted to know if changing the length and width of the box keeping the same internal dimensions will change the port tuning trequency.

If I understand, your port uses the wall of the box as one of its sides, right? If you make the box deeper, and the port gets lnger, then can't you cut part of the port after it bends, inside the box? Maybe a pic would help...?

long as the internal volume of the box stays the same the tunning will stay the same
