just finishing the wiring to a new project ran the rca's from the deck to the amp(650 2ch jensen) not sure on model #. When the amp turns on it automatically goes into protection mode when both rca's are plugged in. If i remove one of the rca's from the amp it works. When working if i plug the bass boost *** in it goes to protect mode as well, remove it it works fine. Amp was working perfect during last install. Any suggestions on a fix would be great.

 

Does it matter neither side of rca is plugged in. If not, one of the rca's ground could be bad and sending a big huge feedback to the output or speaker causing the amp to go to protection. I would strongly suggest to have the amp check and this is something we do for free.

 

makes no difference if i plug the rca's into the input or output on the amp. I've also tried other sets of rca's and the same issue still occuring.
