car dynamat question
hey, i got a 2000 grand am and i just bought 100 square feet of dynamat and did my whole trunk and trunk lid with it because the car was ratteling like no other, the worst thing ratteling was my spolier and i managed to get the spoiler to completely stop ratteling but my back bumper still rattels really badly and the person i bougth the dynamat off me said that if i did my whole inside of my trunk and trunk lid it would take away all the rattels in the back of my car does anyone have an suggestions for me to do, to stop the ratteling of my bumper ? i still have 50 square feet of dynamat left but i dont not know how to make the noise in the bumper go away somebody please help Thanks

50 sq already, that must mean you put more then one layer, nothing wrong with that except your trunk lid won't stay up on its own, at least mine doesn't with only one layer
I don't know anything about stopping the bumper from rattling, most cars I see these days don't even have a real bumper, just more plastic

lol ya its not really a bumper haha but its the back of the car it is plastic and stuff HAHA i've tryed everything like getting underneath the car and putting stiro foam peices under all of the plastic bumper and still it rattels and shakes like no other but i dunno guess maybe grand am's r just bad for dynamating or im and idiot 1 or the other HAHA

If you can access the cavity you might try and blow some low-expansion spray foam into it. Make sure you get it right the first time though, once it sets up you may not be able to get in there again! Make sure you get the stinky stuff, don't use the water based product. It takes forever to cure. Get youself a longer apication tube than what comes with the can.

I suggest that also...if you spent the time to deaden the entire car...you might have to take the time to remove your bumper and deaden behind it.
