50 sq already, that must mean you put more then one layer, nothing wrong with that except your trunk lid won't stay up on its own, at least mine doesn't with only one layer
I don't know anything about stopping the bumper from rattling, most cars I see these days don't even have a real bumper, just more plastic

Re: car dynamat question

If you can access the cavity you might try and blow some low-expansion spray foam into it. Make sure you get it right the first time though, once it sets up you may not be able to get in there again! Make sure you get the stinky stuff, don't use the water based product. It takes forever to cure. Get youself a longer apication tube than what comes with the can.

take the bumper off and line the seam with strips of matt or what I would probably use instead would be a bead of silicone.... then bolt it back down...

I suggest that also...if you spent the time to deaden the entire car...you might have to take the time to remove your bumper and deaden behind it.

Also any screws or bolts you find just snug them down. Helps get rid of alot of rattles.

bad rattle

Just had a car in that had a factory foam block between the bumper cover and the re-bar that rattled really bad we glued the foam to the re-bar worked great.
