And some things that just shouldn't matter do matter... it is not always clear cut.

One of the best tweaks you can do to your stereo is to double check the quality of ALL your connections (power (battery, alternator, ground etc), turn on, RCA, and speaker wire) and then tighten all your connections. This ensures the signal is taken care of from creation to consumption and the system is electrically as good as it can sound

Some feel exotic wiring does matter some do not, unless you have already exercised most of the devils from the system I don't think fancy wire or expensive amplifiers make much sense. AND if you don't hear a difference with fancy wires substituted it is best to busy yourself doing something that matters like buying music rather than fretting over it. Now if you do hear a difference... I am sorry because your life just got more expensive.

Another pet pev of mine................. is.............. super expensive equipment in a sh-t install. So many spend so little time or are unwilling to spend the money for a solid install. It makes a HUGE difference. I've judged a few systems where the gear was only average, but the well thought out and executed install made the vehicle sound way better then it should have. That's something special.

No posts for a while. But the car is coming togther well. I'm not posting any photo's until after the show this coming weekend. But I did get a package in the mail from my friends at FedEx, thanks to the guys at CARDAS Audio! What you see below are the speaker and RCA cables that I'm using in my install. There is also a photo of the RCA caps. Cool!

IMHO,
Cable will make a difference only if everything else in the system is up to par. And I'm trying to get mine to that level. Only time will tell.

Off to the garage.
