connecting amps and problems...HELP

Hey guys,
need help once again i have 2 amps connected at the moment
one is a 3000w 4ch
Targa 3000 watts 4Ch Amplifier
and the other is a cheap XL audio 550w 2ch.
i have my mids and 6x9 connected to the Targa, and a 1000w pioneer champion series 10'' connected to the XL audio.

i have one power wire going to the targa then to the xl audio.
and the ground is the same.

the problem is that the head unit(JVC KD-S12) cuts out at loud volume or the volume drops the returns shortly.
and the one wire(+) going to the front speaker started to melt and smoke.
also no matter what amp i connect to the 6*9 and mids it gets really hot!

im going to get a 4awg power wire tomorrow. and see how that goes.

please help with advice.

What size power wire are you using now?

And I love that link to the Targa amp. 3000watts. Power output: 50x4

i wasnt sure what gauge it was. the audio shop i went to said i was 8g and that a 8awg will be enough for my system.
replaced all burn wire and it works fine. except for the volume drop front speakers and sub cut out.
