My stereo was working ok before I installed some used speakers I recently purchased. Now nothing works. I check the fuse and they seem to be ok. The deck doesn't turn on, but I'm able to eject the cd so the motor is still running and there is power going to the deck.

I removed the used speaker and put back the factory. So its back to normal, but still doesn't work. So what happened? Did that speaker fry my head unit?

Im going to say its a Fuse or a connection problem to the RED wire behind your deck(yellow is constant meaning you can still eject disc)..and the red is the main power source..to Just check this , unhook the red, and temporarly hook it up to the same wire as your yellow off your deck..and if that works, then 100% its a problem with the red,(fuse 9 times out of 10)

 

Hey thanks, found a reset button on my deck, I was shorting the speaker on my roll bar of my jeep.
