Extremely confused!
Extremely confused!
Ok so i'm just about done getting all of my hardware to install my alpine MRP-F550 and some infinity 6020cs components, i'm still deciding on which 6x9's so they will come later, but i wanted to get my components in. Ok so here's the deal, I already have a RF mono amp driving 2x Hertz es250's in the trunk, i'm putting my alpine amp back there too. As far as i know i can get a short RCA to link from my mono amp's pre-out(rear channel) and run another RCA down the car(front channel) to my 4ch amp. Here's where the confusion sets in, one i guy i work with who is really car audio savvy tells me i'm good to run speaker wire from the components' crossover to my amp, like every diagram says. But the guy at the car audio place tells me i can save my self some time by soldering the white/green and purple/grey wires on my deck, and then just run my connections from the stock 6x9's in the back, this seems like it will give me trouble later when installing the new 6x9s when i decide to get them. Anyone have any input into what I should do? BTW, the car is a 98 Civic coupe with no keyless, and the deck is a JVC KD-SX750. The mono amp is a Rockford P325.1
ok, i would recomend that you use the short RCA cable from your mono amp into your new alpine amp. Assuming that it is not a sub preout that runs into your RF amp. If it is your going to need to run new RCAs from your headunit back. For your rear channel you will need to run new RCAs from your headunit if you want to have control over your sound balance. If not then you get a piggyback RCA cable and do it that way. I would go with your coworkers advice, if you are going to be using your rear speakers powered from the headunit. If that make sense
