Ok, I'm going to buy an 12" Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1 dual 2 or 8 ohm subwoofer. The 2 ohm being preferable. There is also a 4ohm single voice coil version too, but I'm not sure if it would work.

I also plan on buying a planet audio vx1400d amp to run it. I want to run the sub at 4 ohms so it will get the amps 500Wx1 at 4 ohms power.

Is this possible? Understand I know nothing about wiring subs.

Actually I should have said right sub for amp as I'm set on the amp, but not sure which version of the sub to get to receive the 4ohm load from the amp. Confused I am.
