One last thud after I turn the car off

Hey all. I just finished wiring up my stereo and it sounds great. There is one tiny problem though.

Every time I turn the car off (doesn't matter if the deck was on when I killed the engine or not) I get a thud from the sub. Just wondering what might be the cause.

Thanks guys

^^^^My old amplifier used to do that with my old setup. It had to do with the amp about turn on delay. I use to get a thump or w/e you are describing on initial start up and shutdown. I think it's normal and not to worry about it too much as I never did.

most amps nowadays have circuitry to prevent the dredded thump (which can damage drivers!!)

as I recall your fix involves adding a relay to the turn on wire which will keep the amp on for a second while the deck shuts down.....

look online, I know autosound2000.com has em....
