If you want to keep people from stealing your car just make it too damn loud. I use air horns in my trunk and interior, each are triggered separately and are on a time delay (I hated getting caught not disarming before I opened the doors!) I picked them up cheap at the scrap yard off of old rigs. I took this to a shop to get the lifetime warranty on the alarm and the guy that tested it wasn't told about the horns - he punched me when I picked it up after said he had a hard time hearing and his head hurt from hitting the trunk lid! Enough rambling though
