REMOTE on AMP???

REMOTE on AMP???

Can anyone tell me where can I connect the Remote on the AMPLIFIER other than the remote from the headunit?Thinking to have it somewhere else for I CANNT find the remote on the HU,TY in advance!!!

cannot open the unit??? what the hell are you talking about???

whats the stereos name, model number etc..., what vehicle, sounds like maybe you should just leave everything alone?

connect it to the vehicles accessory wire.

you'll find lots of accessories in the fuse panel that come on when the key is turned on. Take your pick, and use a relay to switch 12v (with fuse) to the remote.

Agreed. Fuse box is your best bet.

Sort of on topic but off topic ... during my first ever install when I was about 17, I replace the head unit and ran the remote to the fuse box. But it must have been to something that didnt have constant power (its 15 years ago .. dont ask me to remember :P). Anywho, the radio and EQ presets would ALWAYS reset to default and it was driving me nuts. I finally figured out that it was the remote wire. Changed it to something that had constant power and voila .. no more factory defaults.

Just a side bar .. sorry!!
