Remote Wire. Confused!
Isn't there a way to hook it up to a switch , and then from the switch to the head unit turn on wire.. ( I'm trying to find a tut for it or any info )
So when the car is on, I can decide if I want the amp on or not by the flick of a switch on my dash ?
Thanks .. Liv

You can go to any Canadian tire or equivalent and buy a switch with 3 prongs, found in the electrical automotive aisle, it should have 12v in, a ground and lead out.. Then you would simply find a switched 12v source and use that (ignition on etc...), as the power in source. From there find a ground and ground the switch and run the wire out from the switch to the amp... I searched for a tutorial but couldn't find one. Hope that helps....

Then, I would simply install a SPST (single pole single throw) switch in line with the remote to the the amp(s).
I had the same problem with current when running two amps and i was using the remote turn on, doest the remote turn on use much less then a volt???
I solved the problem by using a relay.
