Hi, new here. I'm looking to install these components and these rear speakers in my step-dad's 2003 Sierra. I was just wondering what amp would be perfect for powering these.

There's countless answers to this question. Choose something 50x4 to 75x4 with built in crossover. I prefer to stick to major brands like JL, Alpine, Pioneer, MTX, etc.

You might want to consider a 5channel amp so you have a sub channel in case you want bass in the future.

 

Its an odd combination since one pair is double the power handling of the other. One pair will be underpowered and the other overpowered. I wouldn't suggest such a combination. Try to get rear speakers with a handling closer to the 90rms of the front and any 50rms X 4 will work....

 

I WOULDNT bother with either of these sets of speakers.. your looking at 250$ + duties if apply. comming in at around 260$ - 300$
On top of that those infinity speakers have to be some of the worst i have heard and they will only leave you wanting more from your speakers.

1. i would suggest upgrading your from speakers to a 6.5" component set and start there. build around that.
2. invest your money in something you know you will like. i.e. go test speakers at shops or get reviews ect.
3. run 2 channels for your front components then either get a mono amp for a sub or run a 4 chan for the option later. if no sub is needed then just get rear speakers IF* needed
4. more speakers dont necessarily mean better sound. stick with a good set of 250-300$ components and go from there.
5. if price is an issue then do your best to install them yourself to save money
6. assess your needs after you upgrade your fronts and go from there! i.e. add more channels/amps/speakers/subs ect.

 

I don't think he's looking for a crazy setup for himself, it's going in his step-dad's vehicle..

 

hmmm. i bought infinity speakers for my truck, and im more than happy with them, i got 4x6 ones similar to the ones he listed, just there a little different.... in my chevy silverado, they sound awesome.
