Sub for golf IV Help!!!

Bass boost usually boosts 45hz or so and is designed to overcome cabin gain and road noise issues. Basically if you're lacking right around that frequency you can boost it to compensate. Gain should ALMOST NEVER be cranked. U let the smoke out of your sub and thats why it doesn't work anymore. LOL

Never tune with volume cranked either. Alpines could start to distort RCA output at as early as 25-27 out of 35 on the volume. When your front speakers go from clear to distorted at higher volumes you are slowly doing the same thing to your speakers as you did to your sub. Always leave things like BBE and loud off and leave preset EQs on flat because they just lead to distortion earlier in the volume range. you can go louder cleaner without them.

my max gains never passed more than 1/4 no bass boost of any kind.

K I will try turning the bbe and stuff off cause my front speakers start to distort at 18 :P their just stock but sound pretty good not really worth upgrading for now I don't think :/ and haha imma keep the gain down :P
