My school has never had AP courses offered, but for some reason me and another guy were allowed to take one of the tests this year. They said the physics course we were in was very similar, so it would be OK.

So I get to writing the test on May whatever (with a months left of material in my course still unlearned) and at least 20% of the stuff i'd never seen before, ever. Also, we didn't get any formulas or calculators for the MC section. On top of that, each wrong answer subtracts 1/4 of a mark from your total score, so I left 10-15 questions blank.

Then came the written response. I could do only one of the 7 questions fully, and 4 partly, the rest i hadn't learned so i just BS'ed. We actually did get a formula sheet for this part, but I hadn't seen half the formulas on it before in my life.

So i'm expecting at most a 3/5 grade, which is like 40-55 percent, but somehow today i got my marks back and i got a 4. I'm happy cause i did better than I thought, but i'm also kinda pissed. If i would have actually taken the course before the test i woulda got 5/5 easily, but anyways i don't even think the college i'm going to accepts AP marks for anything... so it's really just a big waste of my time.

Sorry for the 2 posts i accidentally pressed enter before i was done.
