I've had to deal with client complaints like this before and as soon as I read something like that they usually lose a bunch of credibility.
Otherwise... I agree. You're getting screwed and they owe you a new computer. </font>
Yeah I hear what you are saying here. The only reason I put that in there is because I know which person I was talking to and he is like 17 years old. And the kid has absolutely no idea what he is talking about. So what I am trying to figure out is why in the hell he is working there. There were a few spots in the letter where I could have been nicer. Or used different wording. But, I have been jerked around so much and talked to so many different people. I am just pissed to no end. At this point I don't even care if I get a new computer. I just want to send all these out and make the store look bad. I've got nothing to lose and probably nothing to gain. So I said to hell with it!

really....I work for a company called convergys wich is just a smaller company that works for comcast ineternet in the states.....I guess they found peoples iq are higher up here and therefore they can solve problems easier......(just kidding)
try to reformat the computer yourself, its fairly easy and that way you will know for sure its a hardware corruption wich does rarely happen. Also, if that computer came with norton antivirus uninstall that POS cause all it does is mess up your computer, even when your not online.

The reason is because the store can't be held responsible for some goof going home and messing up all his files because he wanted to sort all of his files in to different folders based on the file extension (seen it happen)
Or a buddy told him he doesn't need any of the DLL files on his system (also seen it happen.. guy brought it back 3 times even though we told him to leave them alone after the 1st time)
They also can't be held responsible for you going out on the 'net and getting a virus.
Now.. if it were Hardware related, that's a different story!
^^^ Yeah I just don't see what the issue is. The only thing on the computer is what came on it. As soon as I brought it home after it was wiped the thing started freezing and going whacko. And the store just doesn't care. Because it tests fine at their store. Or so they claim. I have used the computer all over the house with different monitors, keyboards and everything. And it still does it. I just don't know what there is left to do!?

However, when they charge me 40 dollars for a virus removal and tell me that will fix the problem. Then I hold them responsible when it doesn't. Same thing for the system restore. I was charged twice for stuff that should have fixed it and then didn't.
I agree, if a dumbass decides that his system 32 files are just taking up to much space, and then he deletes them to make room thats his fault he screwed up the computer. I have heard of this before, actually about a week ago.....the guy says ever since I deleted my system 32 files my computer wont start properly at all, I gave him microsofts number, wich is 1-800-936-5700 I believe. I got that number memorized, the first 2 calls are free if you are using windows xp.
you will probobly get directed to a call center in red deer I think....

Jordy-O, In general I personally would like software (that came with the system not that i have purchased somewhere else or at a different time than the system was purchased, or downloaded) problems included in the warranty. I understand anyone can go online and screw their computer up in 2 seconds or install some uncompatible software, but what I mean is by software THEY have installed in the system.
So going to have it repaired, them bringing it back fixed with a description of what was wrong and THEN you paying the fee if it was not your fault.

If they use the system restore disk and it still has problems, I'd be willing to bet my lunch that it's not a software problem. It's probably hardware.
I also agree with Joe (Mr E) that if he already paid them to repair the software then it should work when he gets it back. I would have never charged a customer for a 2nd time software repair.
