You can go here to get a shipping quote for Greyhound.

Normally I would suggest Greyhound for big, heavy and relatively sturdy packages that the other carriers will not carry.

In this case, I would definitely go with a proper carrier such as Purolator or FedEx. UPS is to be avoided for reduced customs gouging.

Advantages of Greyhound
-------------------------
- will take humongous packages other carriers will reject
- very cheap compared to the other services (I had a MASSIVE 7'x4'x2' 70lb box shipped from FL->NY for $69USD)

Disadvantages of Greyhound
---------------------------
- no shipment from US to Canada (since you're in the GTA, you will have to collect from the closest US bus station located in downtown Buffalo)
- not nearly as fast as a proper carrier
- sometimes they lose packages (don't know if this is a theft issue or not; they "lost" one of my rims at the bus station but since it was only worth $20USD, I didn't bother chasing them down since my long distance bills would add up to that much after a while)
- not good for big dollar shipments since the whole business seems to be run like the tom&jerry show. one's chances of getting money reimbursed seems slim. when I had my problems, i must have talked over 20 minutes with the staff there including a visit there with no luck even though I had proof from UPS that an employee there received the package.

Bottom Line re Greyhound
-------------------------
I would only use them for low buck huge items that the other carriers refuse.
