Apparently you've never looked in to the cost of having a hooker on call all the time and a cleaning lady come in on a daily basis

Interesting statment... heh, there is a reason for that too !

Investing in a computer company might be a good investment... investing in the latest and greatest computer system might be a good investment if you can use the technology to make money...

Buying something that will loose value and calling it an investment... well...

I got my computer 3years ago, and it was a year old.... still works fine for what I really need (although Iam planning an upgrade because of a few 'wants' I have)

Anyway... a $1500 (or so) system 1year before I got it ended up costing me $175 and 2 15s in a box that I traded for a bunch of junk for...

Now that was a good investment...

when you go to buy a computer just make sure there is lots off room for upgrades...it doesn't matter if it looks pretty or not, making upgrades is the best way to keep up with the times and not have to buy a whole new setup!

Like Chris said, a computer is not an investment.
You spend the money and that's it.
I remember way back when I had my "new" 486 and thought it was the ****. Upgraded to a huge 8 megs of ram, and had a whopping 512 meg hard drive.
We were amzed by then we they first released Pentium 75's. Oh yaaaa baby.

I bought mine a few years ago, 1.6 ghz, 512 ram, Radeon video card. Not much compared to todays system, but MORE than good enough for what I use it for. (Internet, MS office, power point, and stupid webgames)
