From today's Autotech Daily:
The Chrysler Group will build up to 10 production versions of the 500-hp Dodge Tomahawk concept motorcycle it showed last January at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Reuters reports. Priced at $550,000, the single-passenger bike has two pairs of closely spaced wheels and is propelled by the same 8.3-liter V-10 engine used in the Dodge Viper sports car. Chrysler has boasted the Tomahawk could sprint from zero to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds and has a theoretical top speed of more than 300 mph. The production bikes won’t be street legal and are intended to be "rolling sculptures," according to the automaker. All 10 of the new models will be exact replicas of the concept vehicle, Reuters says. One is already being built for sale through the Neiman Marcus Christmas catalog. The others will be built to order as buyers make a deposit.
