Capitalization has nothing to do with it, it's your inner psychological needs that drive you. I VERY heavy into spl but i dont really enjoy it that much, still i do it b/c it's my way of getting my self realization need fullfilled and gives me the chance to push my skills beyond the limits.

Also u are not at safety and stability needs, u are at Social needs, otherwise u wouldnt have a wife and kids.

Chizzer there is a good chance that u will move up higher when u are much older, just like those retired guys dirving corvettes and other super fast cars that are way too sporty for their age.
I will admint I have no idea about this Maslows Heirarcy *sp* If it is Social Desire I am at then I can accept that and I am happy with it, I feel I have a more complete life then the slacker making love to his precious hobby I'd rather stick to the healtier realationship of the 2.

How do you figure it's social needs just because I have a wife and child on the way? I'd rather not be that old guy driving a sports car cause they don't know how to drive them! </font>[/QUOTE]That's cuz they're old and their judgement on everything isn't the same as when it was when they were younger and into the risk taking lol Although SOME old guys know how to drive 'em lol If I was you I to would also rather have a family ahead of a sports car.

^^sorry had to edit my post lol... but yeah I totally agree. I would rather be the family guy driving the K-car, then the old rich lonely guy driving the sports car.

yah np i had to edit mine as well.

yah u should be happy with whatever need u are satifying right now. u might move up later or u might move down, or u can move up AND down. or just stay where u are.

reason i talk about this theory and crap is to try to explain why some ppl are sooooo addicted to some hobby that has no meaning to the rest of us. It's the internal drive that pushes them, as long as that drive is there to them it doesnt matter what the hobby is or what we think of it.

^^Yuli just like with Terri's post I re-edited what I had to say. Like I said I didn't quite understand/ know this Maslows's Theory so after looking into it more I realize what I wrote was wrong, and in fact you where correct.

I guess to myself my "social Desire" I see more fittings then that of "social desire" to a hobby, in my head it doesn't make sense as to why someone would not want to move on and go after better things, I know if I was still nerding it up with computers still I'd prob be a loser talking about harddrives and ramn and **** lol. To me that's a faze I wouldn't want to stay at. *** No offense to the COMputer guys out there*** I Know it's doesn't go down that way lol...
