Guns owned and registered are not the problem,it is smuggled guns, used more so for crimes it's like the old no more of one thing ban it but you still haven't fixed the problem theory! I am actually 29 and have never voted in my life but thanks to the laws these miss educated monkeys are proposing in ontario and canada as a whole, I am planning to rally and make my vote count this year along with anyone willing to listen to me talk about what I feel on these topics! Dammit censorship, gun laws, gun prohibiting, animal banning, etc etc what the heck is this, communism? I say out with the liberals and I hope you people agree, what is next you must be monitored while using your computer at all times via web cam due to the online crime rate? I've pretty much decided, I would absolutely hate to do this, but I will leave this country before my civil rights are so flagerantly violated.
Martin and the Libs have become utopianists... social engineers with a vision of perfection. I wish they would just shut up and go back to running the damn country. I know it's hard to get people that don't own guns to understand, but this is a civil rights issue. Just wait, the next time a certain right is socially unpopular and the government tries to take it away, it could one that you treasure.

"In a number of our cities ... there has been an upsurge in deaths and injuries involving modified cars," he said. "This is not the Canada we imagine. It isn't the Canada we want for our families."

WHY THE **** DONT YOU MAKE THE DRIVERS TEST HARDER SO ONLY THE PEOPLE THAT CAN DRIVE DO DRIVE?
So instead of not being able to modify my car I think maybe I will just go and steal someone elses stock corvett and race it against my buddy who just stole a Viper.
How about Europe....the accident rate is small compared to Canada and many of theire roads dont have a speed limit.
But there licensing exam is brutally hard. Ban car modifacations.....I can see police oficers going garage to garage looking to bust people trying to have some fun and learn something with thier cars.

Has the gun registry prevented any firearms related crimes... hell no... the crimials don't even want long barrels.. they want handguns which are already prohibitied and tightly regulated.. YET THE CRIMINAL STILL GET THEM....
If I wanted a handgun it could cost me thousands and take me monthes upon monthes to obtain one legally...... Yet with $500 I GUARENTEE I could find one by this time next week.....
And here I sit watching the social activists on TV say the blacks in TO are joining gangs because they are comming down to hard on them in the highschools.... so when they are in trouble for drugs & violence the solution is to be more lenient with them.... WTF !!!

What needs to happen is a call for your average citizen and familly to pull their head of their *** and start working for a better community....
There is no such thing as familly values anymore... that and the corporate greed that dominates us all are the core problems in our society IMO....

Why not just change the law that any crime committed with a handgun is life imprisonment with no parole.
Then one of three things would happen:
1- People would stop using handguns for crime (unlikely)
2- Criminals caught using handguns would get locked up forever. If yer locked up you can't commit crime.
3- Dumbass criminal about to be arrested for a handgun crime decides to 'test his luck' in a shootout and gets killed. Works for me. Downside is that peace officers or the public could get hurt.
Then one of three things would happen:
