I'm glad you're in B.C. where they probably won't win many seats.

Would you still be friends with a guy that robs you and lies to you? If not why are you voting liberal?

Totally agree. I would say the courses, tests, licenses, etc that you need to buy a handgun are easily $1000, then another $1000 for a decent handgun. I know for a fact I could get a handgun within a week for under $1000. When I used to go to the bars a lot I could probably have gotten one same day.
I am licensed to posses and acquire restricted firearms (handguns). total cost = under 150 dollars, and a 28 day waiting period. </font>
Umm, I am too.

Non-restricted course/test = $100
Restricted course/test = $100
PAL for restricted = $85
Trigger lock = $20
Locking carry case = $100
Decent gun safe = $300
Membership at a gun club = $100-250
Registration fee for a new handgun = Not sure? Can't find info on website.

I guess $1000 is a bit high. $150 is way too low unless you're going to challenge the test and not include any of the mandatory extra expenses our legislation requires.

I've never heard/read of a 28 day waiting period either. The main delay is applying for your PAL which can take months.

ATT (Auth. To Transport) is free, but can take from an hour to weeks.
</font>
Yeah, there is a 28 day waiting period to get your pal. No waiting period after you get it though. I just challenged the test, and my gun club dues are like 50 bucks a year, which isn't really an associated expense, because I would be a member regardless of whether I wanted a restricted firearm or not. There is no registration fee. You just have to pay 25 (I think) dollars to transfer the registration from the business, to you. All of the required safety equipment, is part of the gun purchase anyway, so I didn't include it in the cost.

Did ya see the bill they wanted to pass, just before they got the boot?
Want to give police open access to internet and phone records without a warrant, under the guise of "terrorism prevention"....and want all internet providers to incorporate "spyware" technology with any new hardware upgrades.
