Everything you shave you have to weld in a peice of steel, right. I'm not the auto body guy? Should I take apart my install to paint the trunk lid?

I also have some silicone to strip off it I had put on to stop the rattle.
no take apart the install to do a new one </font>[/QUOTE]Not going to redo the whole trunk for next year. It won't make it sound better, so I have other things to change.

you guys got me going on the body talk, since it is what i do for a living. the easiest and most effective way of adding a hidden latch, is to use a manual choke cable from a carbed vehicle. attach one end to the latch lever in the trunk, snake the cable to where it will be "invisible" yet accessible. or vice versa since you cant get the handle thru a hole the size of the cable. and viola, manual popper. or you could do what i did, put a hidden electric button on the outside of the truck, and i mounted remote jumper terminals in the fenderwell to boost without having to pop the hood. and also instead of welding in the patches, you could use panel bond, i swear by that ****e. no warping, corrosion protection, and durability all built in.

When it comes to your doors, shaving locks, and welding I have two words:

General Lee

Shave the handle and the doors themselves. Make it one solid side. Have a power window mechanism attached to your remote.

I'd just lower it a few inches, put on some nice 16-17 inch rims and take off the chrome accenting like the spoiler and along the trim. Chromes what makes granny cars.
