They are given a donation from a dealer/manufacturer due to some defect somewhere...they can not make a profit from them because of being a donation.The school has to sign all sorts of paperwork when getting something like this.
At least when I was in HS we got a vehicle in the same respect and when all was done,it was crushed too.If memory serves me right it was a Chevy 1/2 ton...but that was sometime ago...
