LOL I love that!

But On a serious note... If shes a tard and goes through her insurance for 500 detuctable and theres minimum damage....let her! We have something called NO FAULT INSURANCE In Ontario ( useally it screws us in the end but maybe in your case it wont...) If she goes and says well it wasent my fault the insurance compnay will pretty much say well too bad, in Ontario we have no fault so your premiums will go up if you file a claim...(Im pretty sure my aunt told me the only way the insurance company will change no fault is if someone was hurt, then inurance compnays sews the other etc. ) SOOO If you dont go through insurance it may not get you...but My suggestion would be talk to your insurance guy anyways...there not there to screw you...its not like there the narcs and there gonna rat on you to the big guys lol ... Maybe Ill investigate this a little more for you if you want... 2 of my aunts work for insurance companies and my mom used to...

No fault is a misnomer... All it means is that your company pays your claim.... Lando is correct, she would not have to pay a deducable because she was not at fault.... And as nobass pointed out if there was a police report your insurance company will find out about it regardless.... Often, if you dont report it they will find cause for an additional rate hike... (they have a clause that you have to disclose all accidents over $XXX in damage, traffic violations, ect.)

what is he going to do... sue his insurance company over his rate hike after a claim was made against him for something that was clearly his fault... yea... that would be worth the lawyer...

been there, done that, got the T shirt.

Many times but not always.
For example, my car got hit two years ago. Woman didn't have insurance so my insurance company paid for my car. Bill came to ~$5500 from my bodyshop. My rates have never gone up and with the recent government induced insurance changes my rates have gone down $600 a year.

Just a scratch, that will buff right out. That really sucks blue whale Doug, I had someone drive into me last year when I was plowing snow, $300 damage to the F350 and $4500.00 to his Dodge 2500 (thing basically exploded on the front end).

if the accident goes on his driving record, ie, if the police filed a report, then his insurance will find out if they run an abstract on him.
