At least the brand of bulbs I bought. Don't know about the Silverstars.

Standard wattage draw with high wattage output
With this safe wattage level, you can be sure these lights don't damage any wiring, and at the same time, will provide a brighter, more elegant whiter look than all stock lights. (They draw the same wattage as your OEM stock bulbs, but emit a brighter light than your stock bulbs).

I got ya beat there grizz. A guy came into the shop and said "I hear your the electrical specialist, and I have a big problem". he had put these huge wattage PIAA bulbs and burnt the entire wire harness from the headlight all the way to the switch. That harness has a ton of wires for half the engine compartment and runs inside the fender of the car. (The car was a first gen tiberon) The bumper, fender, inner fender, and dash had to be remove, all burnt wires were replaced, headlight relays, 2xdash switches replaced. When the wires got hot and burned, they burned through other wires damaging other switches. Three days later and a huge bill this guy had learned an expensive lesson

I picked up a set of "EuroDezigns" off of ebay, $38 w/ shipping from the U.S. For Hi & Low beams, not too bad =P just waiting on my euro foglight bulbs.. and possibly a set of 'clear but, blinks amber sigs' = ]
This comparing "OEM to EuroDezigns"

Waiting on a clear nite for better road comparisons

i hate too say it, and i am not flaming you in anyway,,, but blue bulbs suck. and silverstars won't last more than a year. the blue tint in those bulbs actually "rob" the luminance of the bulb. they look brighter coming at you, but the output is horrible. i have tried countless styles and brands of aftermarket bulbs, and was not impressed by any of them. my buddy owns a performance shop here and i just took a bunch of bulbs and tried them. i tried a pair of xenons in the hi beam and left the low beam stock, and the lows out shone (is that a word?) the hi's. i also have a relay for my low's to stay on with the hi's. i ended up putting an hid coversion,,the 8000k kit in my low beam and i have never used my hi's since. i have a set coming for my hi beams, and 2 sets for my summer truck are` on the way also. they are pricy,,,but i will never go back to regular bulbs.

HID is the best, but I really can't justify 500+ dollars just for headlights.
