Now for my rundown of the Canadian Teams as I see it.
Toronto fans...well Im sorry but with your team of $1,000,000 Rent-A-Wrecks its just a matter of time until the wheels fall off,if by some ice cubes chance in hell O'Neil, Lindros, Belfour and Allison can return to form and stay healthy then look out! Allison was damn near a 100point a season player until he got hurt and the Big E has the good to pull out asoild 75-80pts IF HE CAN KEEP HIS HEAD UP!
Edmonton Fans...Pronger is a studon the blueline, Horcoff and Hemsky are both due for break out seasons, Peca adds much needed depth to the center but 3rd and 4th line scoring is lacking and will be needed to succed but the bottom line is that Ty Conklin is not a pressure performer and the Oil can not win with him in net in the playoffs.
Canucks fans....the top scoring line for the last 3 seasons in back together, the Sedin girls are with Anson Carter and should have a good year, but I think they gave away to much on the blueline when they traded Sopel and Malik. So long as Bertuzzi can get his crap together they are going to be a top 3 finish in the regular season but unless Cloutier who has more wins in the last 5 years than any other goalie besides Marty Brodeur can stop more than a beach ball in the playoffs the cup is out of reach for the Nucks.
Montreal....well Montreal is young and fast.....better hope Ryder and Zednik can pull a 70 point season out of their asses other wise your screwed and not in the playoffs.. Give them a year or two and look out.
Ottawa.. WOW! Heatly & Hasek! A new start for Dany boy will light a fire under his ***, and the line of him Spezza and Bochinski is young fast and deadly! If Haseks back can keep together by the thread thats holding it then they are the only threat to Philly to finish #1 in the East and with I cant hack the pressue Lalime out of town nad Haseks experince its no wonder they are early favorites to win the cup this year.
No for my Calgary Flames....lost some faces but seemed to have gained an equal or better for eachthat has left. The last 4 games have been sheer crap but once they get the bugs worked out they will be deadly. Gaining Hamrlik and rookie Dion Phaneuf who can shoot liek Al McInnis and hit like Scott Stevens on the blue line helps make them look like the leauges #1 D corps on paper...on the ice though has yet to be shown. Mikka Kiprusoff set a modern day record for the lowest GAA last season so long as hes not a J.S Guigeure flash in the pan the goaltending is solid. Amonte might be old but can skate like the wind and still has a scoring touch, Langkow is just waiting to break through big and Iginla no better all around player in the NHL. Get the gears turning and their is no reason they cant make another run.
Like I said these are my thoughts, yes I am a Flames fan but I do try to stay neutral when I put my honest thoughts like this down....you may of may not agree with me.

I dont believe I bashed them, I said that they have a team of high injury risk players, which Id like to hear you argue otherwise... Belfour, Lindros, O'Neil, Allison are all high risk higher reward players.
I did say that if they can remain healthy that they are a threat. Allison is a stud when hes healthy and Lindros still has 80pts a year in him...O'Neil is a solid 60-70pts but they are all only as strong at the tape holding their broken bits together.

If you kiss the ground they walk on you're neutral.

However keep in mind that every other team has their injury prone players as well. Including Ottawa with Hasek. One groin injury and he's done. Its the same with every team just some have more than others.
