Talking

Yuli for president!

The board just lacks the feel it had with Pete and the other running the place. I know alot of the people who were then are still here now. However, it's just not the same friendly atmosphere it once was.

I check here only when I'm drunk or really bored...kinda like right now

(btw, I KNOW there are a lot more, those 3 are just the first that came to mind!)
I've no idea man, but things are a lot different here than they used to be. Seems like a lot of people who used to post when I did, or people that I know from comps and such don't post anymore, or there isn't anything I feel like contributing to. Like Zach said, it don't have the same feel as when Pete and the boys owned it.
I dunno... btw Jordy long time no talk lol.
Seems like I've lost touch with a few ppl from here as well now that I rarely post...

Actually just now I tried browsing through the site and realized why I stopped posting.
Too many morons starting signing up and posting utterly ridiculous things, I just gave up.
Case in point, this thread.

**** all the old mods, i like this better - i dont get banned everyday anymore by retards who need their personal issues worked out. board is better now, who cares if people are just lurking, they just want info and are very well capable of finding it without posting. this site now comes up in search engine rankings, many more people come across the site and find the info they need.....go to a show in toronto and see how many more people come out, the concept shows were pretty amazing all 4 of them, many noobs join the sport and compete b/c they found out about it on this site. they come, they read, they leave.......why post?

all the old mods and natzi personel who spent hours in group efforts over PM's deciding why and when to ban me next and breakin your small brains (but huge egos) tryin to make me out to be a bad guy can roll over and die.
The import is still on the site, and you.......who really cares.

The old board was hosted by one of our Canadian SQ IASCA legends, and most of the main post contributers were guys into SQ and/or competed in SQ. A lot of the guys were friends as well from the old days of IASCA. It was a tight run ship, with specific rules, and for the most part everyone got along.

Now that the previous owner has moved on, SQ is no longer the focus, and the board has lost all appeal for me. The other thing I don't understand is why so many of the main contributers were banned?

Who is the new owner? I still dont know anything about him/them or even their name? The old owner was well known and respected in the competetion world, and ran a business that supports/sponsers some of the top SQ competition cars. That meant something to me and I was proud of it, but now what? From what I read when the board was sold off, the new owners purchased this site as a business opertunity, and that was their main focus. That alone took the fun out of the board for me, and I decided to give up my Moderator/Brewmister status because I didn't like the way things were headed. I also liked the old look much better.

Oh well, still have some good memories...

No, tell us how you really feel.

Perhaps you should relocate to the West to find your sensitive side and come back and tell us about your experiences out there.

PS. Don't get punched in the throat.
