I see your using the Radeon 9800Pro as well, I might see about switchin to the adapter for it cause the S-Video connection is just horrible scrolling static lines most annoying. Can you use the adapter as normal component or strictly HDTV?

Impossible. All you will do is burn in the color white.
Fan noise would be an issue for me because I do like to keep my noise floor as low as possible.
I have been having a hard time deciding if I actually need a decent sound card. or if I can just get by with a motherboard that has a digital out. All I want is to output the audio to my receiver...
Too much conflicting info out there...do I really need 107dB s/n?
Nope, it accually works.
When I was at futureshop, that's how we rid some of the old TV's we had of screen burn

I'm using a shuttle sn45G case with the Nforce chipset via the digital output and it works great, even converts positional sound from games into dolby 5.1 on the fly
only comlpaint I'd have is the lack of Dts output on the card
I think if I ran the digital out from my AIW 9600 it would probably pass on the dts signal, I just havn't bothered to try it yet
I still need to get a good tv for a monitor, right now I'm using my old non hdtv for movies and games and a 15" lcd on my coffee table for surfing , ect.....
I wann find one that's 720p native resolution so I can run a 1024x720 desktop
so far the samsung dlp & panasonic lcd projection units look promising
Btw nice looking setup
