It was a damn boring winter without NHL bottomfeeder, I wouldn't goto the extent of saying that. But yes they are greedy.

It just seems like they should be men and at least show a little respect to the people that actually pay their wages, the fans.
It's too bad that the fans can't decide what to do in a situation like that, like maybe fire the troublemakers and hire some new people, that are actually in it for the love of the game.
I mean when is it enough money? $1mil, $10mil, $100mil a season? They're hockey players, nothing more.

No wonder a friggin' Leafs ticket is well over $100 for a crappy seat.
I just don't understand how anybody would want to support such BS!
not that i disagree with all of it. I agree with some to a point, but it's not really any different than actors or musicians who get paid crazy amounts of money.

These people are definately overpaid as well. But to just boycott a whole season of hockey because you want more money? I wonder what would happen if any one of us would just not start showing up at work because we decided that we need more money. One word. FIRED.

I'll quit my ranting now.

</font>
I know what you mean, I dont understand whatever happened to playin for the love of the game... Its all about money now.. in a way its their job but does a hockey player REALLY need that much money when everything else is paid for them already...

However I guarentee(sp) you that the NHL lost a lot of fans even if it won't look that way. Opening season game will tell, thinkin about buggin my dad to let me go with him to game 1 of the regular season lol (seasons tickets)

It's hard to say what a person would do until put into that situation, but what has this sport become when hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars is not enough? How about the NHL players of 40 or so years ago? They had to have jobs to support themselves, besides playing professional hockey. Now that's love of the game.

Yeah, I lived in Coaldale for awhile a couple of years ago and had a chance to see some hurricane games. Great hockey!
By the way Dereck, just checked out your Beetle. Very nice.
