Tint Fines?

What kind of ticket would you get for having tint on your vehicle which is against the law (alberta none on windshield exception of the top few inches, none whatsoever on the drivers side and passenger side windows, tint allowed everywhere else ex: sedan rear passengers). Would it be under "stunting" or what? Do police even really enforce this, like i see some newer cars that have tint factory on the drivers side and passenger side windows. Do those people get fined? just curious wanted to get 50% on my D/P side windows, found out apparently its illegal and you can be fined.
thx

I had my 88 Mustang GT tinted with 50% on the sides and 5% on the rear 1/4s and back window back in 93 in Edmonton and lived in Lloydminster until fall of 94 so only a year with the tint but didn't have a problem. I avoided the cops seeing me with it though since they liked to watch for people with tint and nail them. Especially young guys with hot cars. My windows were usually rolled down anyway but in the winter or when rainy I would avoid pulling up beside a cop, etc.

Since moving out to BC I have been nailed four times I think for tint Basically all of them involved the cop saying remove the tint in 48 hours and show me or I will submit the ticket. I complied and he tore up the ticket. On one vehicle the tint was only 6 days old, I removed it and then put it on a week later

I like tint but its not worth the hassle of knowing you have a reason for the cops to pull you over.
