Front Left Component not working?

Hi, Been a long time since I been on here, stereo's been working great, up to about 2 weeks ago. It's over 4 years old.
Starting 2 weeks ago, the front left component (active) would go dead just for a second while I used the driver side power window. I figured loose wire on the door speaker. Haven't got a chance to take it apart yet.
Now, that speaker is not working at all.
What i'm concerned about is why would both mid and tweet be dead? They run off seperate channels of the same amp. If one was disconnected, wouldn't the other still work?
Or, maybe the window up and down thing has shorted a speaeker wire? Would both channels of the amp shut down if one was shorted? (Pio GM5100)
Come to think about it, it started after a heavy, heavy rain I was out driving in a couple weeks ago.
Any Ideas where to start trouble shooting? Thanx, Tom

There are too many variables... You're going to have to take the door apart and see if there is a short so you can rule that out. Same with the rain situation... Having the door apart will show you if there's any water damage. If neither of the two are the issue, then you can suspect the amp or the deck
