Don, I believe it was was trying to get them to adopt new version of rules. They were much better. Also someone (can't remember who) said they were talking to them about joining DBdrag.

I'm not an SPLer but if you want to have some success, I always tell guys to build "For a Class". Find out what's the most you can do for the idbl or db drag class you want to do. I'd love to do a SPL system for a buddy for idbl stock 160 with 2 10's in a big ported box with Tons of juice. So what if the box I build is fugly.

I think i'll stick to street and try get my hands on a mic to do some port testing to find my peak. Then I should be in good shape.

the rules that they had were bad. they had Chris D in our class (2 18's no wall) robs blazer with 4 18's at the time in a wall in our class. we had a bad mic placement . the show premoter was very hard on Bob Beaton and Rob. we steped in to try to help but bob got kicked out and the premoter was on the verge of kicking out rob and us. pluss when the show premoter starts yelling at a group of guys isn't the best for his shows.

it should be different for you.

remember this is just MY opion of these events. don't expect to see many big hiters there if the rules are the same.

+ future shop doesn't seem to willing to take constructive critiscm on how to improve their shows.......+ if some kid has to compete against Rob , Nic, or RipRock with his entry level system.....is that really any fun anyway?
