I agree with your point though.
Without critism or opinions, quality and fairness cannot be acheived.

And I agree about the 'hardcore' vehicles. IMO if I was running a show, the obvious serious draggers would all get lumped into an 'Advanced' class and it would be a free for all. After all, the world finals results every year show that 2 can easily do what 10 does.
Hell I would be thrilled to 'have' to compete in the 'Heavy Hitters' club. Make the cutoff 150db or something. But then I would rather work my *** off and take a 2nd or 3rd than waltz through and scoop an easy win from a bunch of kids with premade boxes. But that's just me

That's why the decision was made to bump all those guys with walls into extreme with Rip/Rock, Ray and Jeremy, to make it fun for the premade box crowd. Now there was some selective enforcement going on, as a guy with a "wall" in a minitruck was allowed to compete in 5+ clas as well as a guy with a civic with his seats folded down and a huge box full of Sony's as well (not any difference than Rob and Nicole really) as well as these guys with walls competed in the regular classes at all the other shows and at finals they were bumped. Mind you this was in the west, in the east I think walled cars were in the regular classes at the finals. This was not last years but the year before. Last year they were all at tuner events and I didn't go to any.
Anyways a simple fix would be to get rid of the 5+ class and rename it advanced for cars with walls but below the extreme vehicles.

Seems kinda sketchy at times. But besides, I hope it runs this year because it sounds like a good introductory for me. Not so quite rule wise, but then getting in the lanes and stuff.

We should not shut out competitors because they are good but welcome them to help the newcomers.

well i think more often than not most beginners might show up to compete at hob, get a 6-8th place because they were against some very serious competitors, and the only thing they will learn is that they can come again and lose by 8-10db
