CompuStar question

Our 03 Tahoe Z71 has a CompuStar Pro8000 alarm (no remote start) and after taking it in to the GM dealer for a repair on our crank position sensor, the door locks no longer function from the alarm remote. They work fine off the door button, but not on the alarm. Anybody got the procedure to get these things working again? Much thanks.

It sounds to me like they reset your computer on the truck. So now you need to bring it into a shop that has experience in bypass modules to reset your aftermarket doorlock integration module.
It should only take about 5 minutes to work it out for you.

Yeah, sounds like a plan. Maybe I'll drop by and give Mike a visit. Haven't seen your shop yet. You got any pics of that Sentra up anywhere?

when was the it put in, generally we would ude a module called a gm-sl or sl2
if it has been reset, all you have to do is locate it, unplug it there should be a programing button on the connector side press and hold while turing the ignition on light should blink, once its blinking, release button, the start engine. light will shut down
wola programed

It may be that easy, or it could be the iDatalink peice where the programming is different. Depending on wheather they used the rs232 port will depend on that programming.

It may be time to put them out to the nostalgic folks on e-Bay. So many things have changed since their heyday.
