So the car gets stolen and its being tracked. Now what? The police are going to accept this piece of technology and track down the thieves? Is the insurance company going to provide a discount for having such a sophisticated system in your vehicle?

If the vehicle is actually stolen and driven away, that's huge in my mind. I haven't personally had to deal with break ins but driving away has got to be far worse than just a ****** and grab, and the insurance company will comp you for that.
I don't know, just my general, no-knowledge opinion on that.

I tend to agree with this. Is your car worth driving away with? I mean, do you have that much expensive gear in it that it cant not be "****** and ran" ?

all cars worth driving off with already have this feature from factory, you just dont know about it.

also, now everyone who read this knows your car has this............so much for ONLY YOU knowing about it. lol good luck tho.

I don't know about that. My moms 2004 alero was stolen a couple years ago. It was a hunk of junk even. It didn't have any sort of tracking system in it either, the only way it was found was by a cop that was responding to a house call.
Imagine if there was a system in that car. Without an aftermarket tracking system installed every part of it would have been missing by the time it was found. I have heard of some systems that get the car back within an hour of it being reported.

Bottom line is....

Insurance company will NOT take care of the $60,000+ I am into my Skyline thus far, not to mention, once it put together completely and the bills keep adding up.

This is about nothing more than clean cut Vigilante Justice and Self Preservation.

I will track the car myself....and that is all I had ever planned to do with this system. Cops will get teh call once I have my car back and the perps duct taped in my basement.

Du du du du du....du du du du du......dududu........BALL GAG/GIMP/DONE.
